In Syncodial, start the guided Twilio setup. It explains what you are creating and why, in plain language.

Create a scoped Standard API key

You create a scoped key in the Twilio console and paste the Account SID, key SID, and secret. Your Auth Token is never asked for and never stored.

Verify and go

Syncodial checks the connection and its capabilities. Buy or import numbers, and your team can start messaging and calling.

Two bills, kept separate

Twilio bills usage directly.

Numbers, messages, minutes, and WhatsApp usage are charged by Twilio to your account. You see the real telecom cost, with no markup in the middle.

Syncodial bills your software plan.

You pay Syncodial a flat monthly or annual plan for the team software. Billing runs through Paddle, which handles tax where it applies.

What is Bring Your Own Twilio?
You connect the Twilio account you already own to Syncodial. Twilio stays your telecom provider and bills your usage. Syncodial is the team software layer on top: a shared inbox, calling, WhatsApp, contacts, automations, and analytics.
Do I keep my Twilio account?
Yes. The account, the phone numbers, the usage, and the data stay yours. If you ever stop using Syncodial, your Twilio account is unaffected.
Who bills message and call usage?
Twilio bills usage directly. Syncodial bills your software plan. The two bills stay separate, so telecom costs are always transparent and go straight to you.
Does Syncodial store my Auth Token?
No. We never store your Twilio Auth Token. You create a scoped Standard API key in the Twilio console, and Syncodial uses that. Inbound webhooks are authenticated with a secret URL token and an HMAC signature.
Can I use my existing Twilio numbers?
Yes. You can import numbers you already have on your Twilio account, and Syncodial configures their webhooks for you.
Is Twilio Connect supported?
Not at launch. We use a customer owned scoped API key because it supports the full feature set, including the browser softphone. We researched Twilio Connect and will revisit it only if it clears those capabilities.
